Time to change

If you saw my Facebook post last week, you might think Jo has gone of the hill. No on the contrary, I have finally come back to the road and I want to follow it this time. The path that I have created off the main road with Mobtreal is not going anywhere because this is my hobby, my passion. I love to write and I love to create.  But I need to live and that is something I haven’t been doing properly. Time to change this.

No I will not be taking down my blog nor will it go away. I just need to concentrate on me and where I want to be in 30 years. It’s in my nature to give and leave myself hanging. Time to change. So what’s the plan you say? Getting a 9-5? Yes that is correct.

Over the years, I have taught myself some crazy shit when it comes to HTML, blogging and social media. I figure that I can use these skills combined with my personality to join a winning team and succeed at a corporate level. I want to challenge myself and go out of my comfort zone and work in a corporate environment. WHY? Time to change.

Now you can say that the decisions I made in the past 6 months are the reason for you feeling this way and wanting out. Yuk Yuk’s was a disaster and I was left out in the cold. I produced some comedy shows… in the winter and with weird locations. I had some success and I had some losses but every time was a gain in knowledge.  Those moments just make me realize and confirm what I already know. Everything happens for a reason.

I intend to have one of the best summers I ever had living in Montreal before I leave to Toronto. Mobtreal will be out covering festivals but we will need your help. I have created a campaign on Indiegogo to raise money for Mobtreal and it’s team. We have giving a lot over the years so here’s your chance to give back. We have levels form 5$ all the way to 500$ if you’re feeling generous end they all come with a perk. So go on and check it out! Share it! Share it again.

Why Toronto you ask? It’s very simple. Money and love. I’ll be able to find a well paying job in the domain I’m looking for and my heart is there as well. Living without your heart can wear you down after a while. As well as living on little money. But have no fear. I will still have bloggers here and the mob will always be around Montreal.    No pun intended!

Anyways, it’s time to get back to me and what I am about. It’s easy to lose your way and get lost even with glasses. I’m grateful, happy and honoured to work and know such great talent and hard working artists here in Montreal. I’m excited to start anew in Toronto with my blog and go out like I was 4 years ago, with heart and passion and meet the next Morgan O’Sheas and Darren Henwoods of the comedy scene.

But even more so excited to continue my career in social media and be proud of myself and my accomplishments. Stop being so hard on myself and finally step into those bright, shiny stilettos I’ve bought but never had the balls to wear. The balls have arrived.

Cheers

JO
