Everybody remembers the musical RENT right? Are you a fan? It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York City’s lower East side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Even if you’ve never heard of it (which is pretty unlikely), this February 15th at Theater Saint Catherine (264 Ste. Catherine Est) Barefoot Broadway present’s “Highlights from RENT in Concert” which will function as a very special concert fundraiser, and 50 %of the proceeds will go to a family in L.A in their time of need. This incredible show features some of Montreal’s up and coming talent, performing alongside seasoned performers as well, including Noelle Hannibal, Tara Bissett, Frayne McCarthy, Marc Ducusin, Elizabeth Proulx, Gabriel Lévesque, Brandon Schwartz, Lauren Stone, Sarah Kulaga, and Nathaniel Villanueva.
This Saturday you too can witness famous music “RENT” as Barefoot Broadway gives life to the play, inside the loft-like interior of the wonderful Theater Saint Catherine!
