7 FNC FILMS TO CATCH THIS WEEKEND

FNC ends on oct. 19!
So it’s your last chance to catch
some original and quality cinema.
Tickets are only 9$ if you’re a student!
(Reg: 13$)

FRIDAY:

BJÖRK: BIOPHILIA LIVE
If you’re unfamiliar with BJÖRK, let me just tell you that she always has visually stunning performances… (And she’s magical to listen to)

Cinema du Parc 1 at 9:00pm

DER SAMURAI
Everyone who’s seen this film has praised it for its originality. It’s apparently like a sort of experimental horror romance movie? Lots of positive commentaries from real film lovers. (If you’re a true cinephile you should NEVER trust IMDB ratings)
A perfect October film!

Pavillion Judith-Jasmin Annexe (cinema 1) at 9:00pm

SATURDAY:

HARD TO BE A GOD
Imagine if the renaissance never happened? A world stuck in medieval times.
This trailer displays stunning cinematography. I can’t convince you unless you watch the trailer.

THE SCREENING HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Salle J.A. De Sève Concordia at 7:00pm

FORCE MAJEUR
This family is on vacation and an avalanche comes close to hitting them. The wife rushed to protect the kids while the husband ran off alone (George Costanza moment am I right?). While everyone is unharmed, this selfish act by the husband does not go unnoticed.

Cineplex Quartier Latin B at 7:10pm

SUNDAY:

MAPS TO THE STARS
I mean, you get to watch a Cronenberg movie several months before it’s officially released…

Auditorium Alumni H-110 Concordia at 1:00pm

P’TIT QUINQUIN
So like, you’ve got this funny looking teen, in this like little village, and like one day, there’s like a helicopter and like, cops and detectives show up because, apparently, they found like the dismembered body of a woman in like a cow. Now imagine this, as a like dark comedy. Sounds like Promising, right? I actually think it’s like going to be one of the, like, best movies to play at the FNC. Wait, it isn’t like exactly a movie, it’s actually like a mini-series. It’s like 4 episodes like back-to-back. Looks like a really like like humble and down to earth like dark comedy.

Auditorium Alumni H-110 Concordia at 4:00pm

DRAGON INN
4K restoration of one of the most influential and epic films of Chinese Cinema.
You could watch it online for free in shitty quality somewhere… Or you could experience this masterpiece in High – High Definition on the big screen. Come on.

Cinema du Parc 3 at 9:30PM

See ya there.
