Holiday Food, Clothing, and Laughter Drive At The M Bar This Thurs!

If you’re looking for something to do this week, why not check out some sweet comedy? To commemorate the holiday season, The Comedy Hostel has put a Holiday Food, Clothing, and Laughter drive at the MBar that will take place on Thursday Dec. 19th. In spirit of the Holiday season, the organizers at the Comedy Hostel are encouraging locals that attend the show to help do our part this Holiday season by bring a non-perishable food item, or a piece of warm clothing (such as a coat that perhaps you no longer use) They will drop off all non-perishable items at Sun Youth, and will also ensure that the clothes are sent to the Old Brewery Mission. These two organizations are recognized for being the most hard-working and charitable within Montreal. If you would help out that will be greatly appreciated!

This fantastic show features Chris Locke, who will be headlining for the show. Accompanying him on stage are humorists Emma Wilkie, Emery Fine, Molly Brisbois, John Selig, and Bianca Yates.

Chris Locke is a stand up comedian, actor, and writer from Toronto, Ontario. Chris is greatly recognized for his many talents, and is unique in his comedic style and delivery. Two of his most charming characteristics as a comedian (in my opinion) are his relate ability and wit. He has been in the business  of preforming stand-up, sketch and improve for roughly 14 years and gained substantial recognition for his appearances at various festivals such as Just For Laughs, The Ottawa Comedy Explosion, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, among many others. This year, Chris also performed at the JFL 42 comedy festival that was held in Toronto, and was a part of the Sirius XM competition for the title of best comedian.

Overall, this show is bound to be a great one!

As far as the price of tickets go, this show is a “pay what you can” show. Essentially they are hoping for a $6-10 donation, but whatever you decide to put in is fine. At the end of the show someone will come around with a hat, and you can put your donation inside of it. The doors are open at 8:00 pm and the show begins at 8:45 pm. “M’ Bar is located in the basement of the “M” Montreal Hostel. To enter, go to the back door on the left of the hostel that has a big “M” on it. For more information you can visit Comedy Hostel’s official website here. Don’t forget to dress warmly because the weather calls for snow! (big surprise there.)

See you there!
