A couple weeks ago, Skip Phillips had a “Yo Momma” battle comedy show in Ottawa. It went well and it was an overall it was a success. So he approached me on the idea that we should do a Montreal vs Ottawa battle. I said I’m in! Now you see, this isn’t just about telling yo momma jokes, it’s about wit, speed and cunning. Can you come quick with a comeback in order to help your team win? Will it be your diss that sends the crowd in an “OOOOHHHH!!” uproar?
I want the best five comedians in town to represent us so I’ve decided to have a pre-battle in order to select out the best ones. Ottawa is prepared and ready to whop some ass. So I want to go in the ring prepared with a team of the best jokers in town. It’s not confirmed yet, but it could be held during a Kick Ash Comedy Show since this night is known already and Paul Ash is the man. The actual event will be held at Katacombes on a Blue Monday Dirty Show because after all, there ain’t nothing pretty about yo momma, so why not combine the dirt and the nasty that is Blue Monday and your moms.

But before you do so, think about the commitment you’re gonna take. Just like when you do a regular show, I want you to come prepared. I don’t want to hear the jokes from high school, or a bunch of jokes you took of YouTube, I want you to work on that material and come out the box with a bang!
Make yourself and Montreal proud. If it goes well, we could have one every month.
Many of you, I have seen on stage before, others not. But I’m looking for something serious, professionals and hard working peeps. It’s all fun and jokes until no one laugh.
I will also be looking for a host for the event. Someone with a game show host touch. They must be hype and energetic and a have good crowd control. I have a peep in mind but if you think you have what it takes, email me.
