It’s time for the #FRINGEBuzz

Yes it’s back for its 24th edition. The St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival which takes place from June 2-22nd 2014. The festival will do what it does best and that’s offering uncensored programming, a diverse and eclectic range of shows and 100% of all box office goes back to the artists. This year there will be over 700 performances by artists coming from everywhere! Quebec, New York, LA, Seattle, Japan, Australia and the UK and ranging from music, dance, theatre, visual arts, film and more. No matter what you’re into, you’ll find something at the FRINGE for your taste buds.

There are 3 bilingual programs to the festival. Because one isn’t enough. From June 5th-22nd is FRINGE A-Z where 16 FRINGE and FRINGE OFF venues will host 110 companies throughout the Plateau Mont-Royal. Companies have been giving 6 or more performances with all ticket profits going directly back into their pockets. Becuase that is what the FRINGE is all about.  FRINGE After Dark is from June 2-22nd  this series consist of a variety of events all created from the spirit of the FRINGE. Popular ones like Galerie FRINGE, The Alcoholic Cinema: Space Jam vs Jumanji, FRINGE Fake Prom and So You Think That Was Dance? are all events that you must check ot this year.  Don’t forget about The 13th Hour at Cabaret du Mile End; a late night talk show featuring the festival’s artists. The FRINGE Park from June 12-22nd is located on the corner of Rachel and St-Laurent, this is the place to meet. You have the Box Office, the Info Booth and all the #Fringebuzz at the Beer Tent.  All events here are free and 100% fun! Dead Messenger will be opening the park this year! How exciting!

This year we Holly Gauthier-Frankel will be the English spokesperson and Simon Boulerice will be the french spokeperson for the FRINGE festival. Two talented artists who have very successful FRINGE shows in the past.

Going through my media kit, there are SO MANY shows to see with a range of styles to fit anyone’s taste. Where do you start? Where do you end? One thing for sure is that there is a something for everyone. If you cannot find a show at the FRINGE festival that tickles your fancy even a little bit, well you my friend are not real.
