 Just For Laughs in association with Loto-Québec, continues to raise the bar on all things comedy by securing even more of the brightest stars for this year’s highly-anticipated summer festival.

Returning to Just For Laughs after 22 years, Jeff Dunham, a top grossing comedian, will make his way back to the festival this summer. Dunham holds the Guinness World Record for “most tickets sold for a stand-up comedy tour”, with some of the most top-rated comedy specials to ever air on Comedy Central in the US and The Comedy Network in Canada. With YouTube videos surpassing over one billion views, Jeff Dunham will return to Montreal to be the master of ceremonies of two multi-comic galas, The Jeff Dunham Galas on Friday, July 27 at 7:00 PM and 9:45 PM at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in the Place des Arts.

Academy-award nominee and Emmy-award winning actor, William H. Macy, will host his first Just For Laughs gala this summer. The critically acclaimed actor has received multiple award nominations for such films as Boogie Nights, Fargo, and Magnolia; and is most recently recognized for his role as Frank Gallagher in SHOWTIME’s award-winning comedy-drama series Shameless. William H. Macy will steal the stage as host of the multi-comic gala, The William H. Macy Gala on Sunday, July 29 at 7:00 PM at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in the Place des Arts.

Lil Rel Howery returns to Just For Laughs for the second time to host hit stand-up show Lil Rel and Friends. Star of FOX’s upcoming sitcom REL, based on his life, Lil Rel Howery is most widely recognized for his breakout role in Jordan Peele’s Academy-award winning film, Get Out. His stand-up special RELevent premiered on Comedy Central and was produced by Kevin Hart, who he recently opened for on his American tour. The special was named one of the 10 best stand-up specials of 2015 by Vulture.com and has become a favourite of fans and comedy heavyweights. Lil Rel and Friends takes place on Saturday, July 28 at 7:00 PM at Cinquième Salle in the Place des Arts.

With 19 million YouTube subscribers, Jacksepticeye defines what it means to be a viral sensation. The massively popular YouTuber is an Irish video game commentator and voice actor who uploads gaming videos and vlogs. On top of taking over phone and computer screens around the globe, Jacksepticeye still finds time to tour with his show Jacksepticeye: How Did We Get Here? in front of sold-out audiences. Catch him live at the festival on Thursday, July 26 at 8:00 PM at LOlympia.

A Just For Laughs regular for many years, fan favourite Brent Butt returns to Montreal as he continues to tour the country performing standup coast to coast. Butt discovered early that being funny was a good way to get attention. His natural comedic skills parlayed him into being of Canada’s beloved comedians, becoming a household name as the creator and star of Canada’s #1 TV Comedy, Corner Gas, which became an instant hit with unprecedented ratings and numerous accolades including an International Emmy nomination. Butt has also starred in two feature films, the comedic mystery No Clue and the long-awaited Corner Gas: The Movie. He continues to tour the country performing stand up as often as he can. This year, Corner Gas Animated – an all-new animated version of the iconic comedy franchise re-imagined by Butt – has been a smash hit for The Comedy Network with the recent announcement that it’s been renewed for a second season. Eliot Glazer, a renowned comedy writer, will be raising the roof with his live musical-comedy show, Eliot Glazer’s Haunting Renditions. With many writing credits from all your favourite comedy shows including Comedy Central’s Broad City, TV Land’s Younger, Fox’s New Girl and Comedy Central’s Time Traveling Bong, Glazer has contributed all things funny both on and off screen. His OFF-JFL show, Eliot Glazer’s Haunting Renditions, will take place on Saturday, July 28 at 11:59 PM at Katacombes.

Liza Treyger returns to Just For Laughs with her self-titled show, Liza Treyger. In 2012, Liza was deemed one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch,” after which she went on to release her first half-hour comedy special and her first album with the network. Most recently, Treyger filmed a Netflix half-hour of stand-up as part of the new series, The Degenerates. Liza will perform on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28 at 7:00 PM at La Chapelle. 

Mamrie Hart is an actress, comedian and New York Times bestselling author who established a stand-out presence in the Pop Culture zeitgeist with her popular YouTube Channel, You Deserve a Drink. Reaching over 3 million followers across her social media channels, her influence as a creator earned her a coveted position on The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Power List and Variety’s 2016 list of Hollywood’s New Leaders. Mamrie can be seen on the daily YouTube show she hosts with fellow comic Grace Helbig, This Might Get…. Come see her live in her new stand-up show How Dare You on Thursday, July 26 and Saturday, July 28 at 11:30 PM at La Chapelle.

Andrew Schulz is known for his hilarious and unapologetic comedy. Schulz challenges conventional wisdom with a NYC tone that is often idiotic, at times brilliant, but always hysterical. Zach Reino and Jessica McKenna have joined the JFL ComedyPRO roster, bringing their praised, improvised musical podcast, as Earwolf presents Off Book: The Improvised Musical. In addition to writing musical sketches for Party Over Here, Buzzfeed, Funny Or Die, Nickelodeon, these popular podcasters created and starred in ABC’s digital series, Serious Music.
