The comedy event takes place at Montreal Improv (3713 St-Laurent #202, Montreal, Quebec H2X 2V7). Doors open at 8:30PM with an anticipated show time of 9PM sharp. Tickets to the event are $10, and discounted tickets are available for students at $8 apiece. Each stand-up comic on this bill is a regular to the Toronto comedy scene. All but Ned Petrie have been nominated in this or past years’ prestigious Tim Sims Encouragement Fund show, where they performed on the famous Second City Main Stage in Toronto.  Ned makes up for it by having been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award with his sketch troupe Shoeless. The Young Geologists have performed in such festivals as the Comedy Go To, in London, ON and the Spring Fever Festival. They’ve recently returned from performing in Halifax, NS where Kevin Hartford of The Coast highly recommended their show.

Host Jess Salomon is perhaps the world’s only stand-up comic who was also a war crimes prosecutor at The Hague… No, really!  Salomon’s serious beginnings aside, she is a hilarious and charming comedian and a regular at The Comedy Works and Comedy Nest in her native Montreal.  She has also performed in
Toronto, Ottawa, Chicago and Los Angeles and has taken part in popular shows such as “Girl on Girl on Girl” with DeAnne Smith and the Grinder’s Comedy Weekend.”
