It was our great pleasure to assist for the first time to the 17th edition of FME, the emergent music festival taking place in Rouyn-Noranda. Just like I expected it was worth the ”almost 8 hour” car drive.

DAY 1:

The first day was already getting us into the groove of the upcoming days. Let me introduce you to my highlights of that day!

MILLIMETRK

Milimetrik is born in the year 2000, making electronic music. What started of as being minimalist is now full of different rhythm such as hip-hop, breakbeat, deep house and trip hop vibes.

Inspired by places and state of mind, the music he creates takes a unique turn. Surpassing the challenge of transposing his ideas into a music that will reflect a various amount of places, travels and such.

If you are looking to dance to music that will keep you on the dance floor, follow his music on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube!!

A short video of each performance is available on our IG page in the ”FME2019” highlight! Stay tuned for more articles.

Le Roi Angus

Good vibes, good times! I had the chance to meet the band after their performance to discuss about how they became ”Le Roi Angus”,  to learn more about their past and upcoming projects. Catch them tonight at Quai des Brumes @9PM

Stay tuned for our post about them!!

We then finished with this set that took place at the ”Espace Lounge Hydro Quebec” under the flashy lights.

DJ EDSIK

I am truly honored to have met this man. Someone who beyond his talent in music is also filled with the will of helping the ones in need.

I will be sharing my discussion with him very shortly. Stay tuned!

After DJ EDSIK’s set, we went to see the woman who was able to keep us standing in the cold rain with her music. I was obviously wearing the wrong outfit for the temperature. We were freezing at first but she quickly warmed us up!

Jeanne Added

Now, we couldn’t stay for the whole show so at least got to hear some of her greatest hits before leaving to discover one of our favorite bands of the festival. Let me present to you…
