St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival: part 1

Montreal is a fantastic city.But there’s no Montreal like a summer Montreal. We have festivals coming out the wazoo. We have festivals just for the sake of having festivals. You see we are inside and cold for half of the year, if not more. So when summer comes, we go coocoo. All we want is to be in the sunshine, at any cost.
Well here’s a great festival coming up!

You can find a little bit of everything. Comedy, dansing, theater, acrobatics…
It is essentially the block party of the year. Every year. For one and all!
From May 30th to June 19th, the plateau is being taking over by over 500 artist all ready to perform there hearts out for you. What sets the Fringe festival apart from the others is the fact they do not censor you or give you an artistic direction.
It is open to all the public and to all artists. No limits, no restrictions.
However, there are so manyย  things going on I must plan my time right!
I’ll start off by spraeding the word about 3 one man shows.
Jess Salomon comes out with her firts FRINGE festival show:
Jess Salomonย  makes her world premiere debut one man show. Jess Salomon: Doing Good.
She will talk about not doing much at all!ย  She’s a great storyteller and will talk about doing good in relationships, with family and the world in general.
Tickets are 10$ and it will be held at Montreal Improv, 3713 St-Laurent.

Then we have Robby Hoffman. Back this year with:
Robby Hoffman: Autobiography.
So what you think you’re better than me?
A fast rising star, Robby Hoffman will make you laugh while she tells you about how being the seventh child out of ten is that bad. There will be guests like George Hamilton Braithwaite and video interviews from her friends, family, neighbors, local celebrities and comedians.
Tickets are 10$ and it will be playing at the Petit Campus, 57 Prince Arthur.

Dan Bingham is bursting out with his one man show also! A favorite in the circuit, Dan Bingham has put his great skills of a writer, story teller and comedian all together to bring you Adopt This!
Join Dan while he tells you the horrors from his youth, the jokes about being adopted and rejoice when he reunites with his biological parents.
