Who is Scenic Route to Alaska?
Substance and accessibility are often considered opposing forces when it comes to pop music. But it’s also the secret recipe of the easygoing Edmonton-based trio who know how to deliver it without effort but with ample doses of both. Weaving links between catchy vocal rhythms and memorable melodies while mixing them with rich arrangements, Trevor Mann (vocals and guitar), Shea Connor (drummer) et Murray Wood (bassist) give performance up that we never get bored of listening to and watching. Recently, the band went back to the studio with renowned producer Howard Redekopp (Tegan & Sara, The New Pornographers) to record 10 tracks spawning their fourth LP, “Tough Luck”.
